The Scarless Breast Augmentation is now even better with Keller Funnel!

The Keller Funnel ™ has truly revolutionized the placement of silicone breast implants.

As a surgeon certified in its use, Dr. Diehl has been using this method exclusively to place his silicone breast implants from the underarm when performing his scarless breast augmentation.

The funnel works like piping bag which squeezes the silicone breast implant out and into the patient.  Its special attribute is its super-strong material which does not tear, and the patented inner coating which slides the implant out with ease.  It may sound simple, but consider that silicone breast implants have been in use around the world since 1962, and took until 2009 to develop this technology.

The funnel is a critical tool to use for implant placement because it squeezes the implant out of its narrow end and into the patient with a much smaller incision than the traditional method of pushing the implant into the patient manually.

And a smaller incision is always important to the patient, especially when the implant is placed from the underarm as Dr. Diehl performs during his scarless breast augmentation.  This small incision in the underarm becomes virtually invisible, because it is placed exactly on the natural crease that is already there under the arm.

Because after all, why show an incision if you don’t have to?

If you live in the Long Island area and would like to learn if you are a good candidate for a scarless breast augmentation surgery, please contact Diehl Plastic Surgery at 631-476-7300 or visit www.diehlplasticsurgery.com to schedule an initial consultation.

Liposuction

Liposuction is an incredibly effective body contouring procedure performed by Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl. With liposuction, Dr. Diehl can remove stubborn deposits of excess fat from areas of the body including:
  •          Ankles, calves, and thighs
  •          Hips, waist, and buttocks
  •          Abdomen, flanks, and back
  •          Arms and chest
  •          Neck and face

To learn what liposuction can do for you, please call 877-476-8512 today to schedule a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Diehl.

What is Liposuction?

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that targets excess deposits of fat. To perform liposuction, Dr. Diehl makes a small incision in the treatment area through which a thin tube (cannula) can be inserted. Using state-of-the-art technology and advanced techniques, Dr. Diehl can break up or liquefy fat deposits, making them easier to remove.

Once fat deposits have been broken up, they are removed with gentle suction. Following fat removal, you will wear a compression garment for a short recovery period, encouraging your skin to firm to your newly toned contours.

Liposuction is a wonderful way to sculpt your body, but it may not be right for everyone. During your initial consultation, Dr. Diehl will assess your frame, discuss all of your options, and help you determine if liposuction can help you reach your goals.

If you live in or around Long Island, New York and would like to learn if liposuction is right for you, please contact Diehl Plastic Surgery to schedule an initial consultation.

Combining Nose Surgery with a Chin Implant

Two of the main elements of a perfectly balanced face are the nose and the chin. In an ideal situation, the tips of the nose and chin line up in a vertical line when your profile is visible. This produces perfect symmetry and is often considered highly attractive.

Board-certified Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl has found that nose surgery alone often accomplishes this particular goal. However, if your nose and chin cannot be brought into alignment with a single procedure, Dr. Diehl may recommend combining your nose surgery with chin implants to achieve ideal symmetry.

Your Face is Unique

Your face is unique and which procedure, or combination of procedures, is best for one person may be entirely wrong for you. To determine which procedures will most compliment your appearance, Dr.
Diehl applies his decades of experience and personal approach, taking into account all of your facial features to customize the optimal combination.

During your initial consultation with Dr. Diehl, your concerns will be listened to, your face carefully examined, and all of your options will be presented.

If you live on Long Island and would like to learn if nose surgery alone or in combination with another procedure can best enhance your looks, please contact Dr. Gregory Diehl today to schedule your initial consultation.

Will Surgery Fix My Droopy Eyelids?

Droopy eyelids are both an aesthetic problem and a potential functional issue as they can interfere with proper vision. Due to this, seeking a lasting solution for eyelid droopiness is on the top of many people’s lists.

Fortunately, this common problem can easily be addressed through an eyelid lift, also known as blepharoplasty, a procedure designed to rejuvenate the eye area, producing a youthful and alert appearance, and even restoring unobstructed vision.

Eyelid Surgery

Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl can customize your eyelid surgery to tighten and beautify both the upper and lower eyelids. Commonly, this procedure is used to lift upper eyelids and remove excess fat causing a bulging appearance underneath the eye, but your procedure will be tailored to meet your unique needs.

Eyelid surgery can be performed alone or in conjunction with other surgical procedures such as a facelift or brow lift, along with nonsurgical options including BOTOX® Cosmetic to address many areas of the face. Combining procedures will be based on your particular concerns. All of your options will be discussed in full during your initial consultation.

If you live on Long Island and would like more information about eyelid surgery, please contact Dr. Gregory Diehl today to schedule your initial consultation.

Tummy Tuck Candidates

A tummy tuck is a body contouring procedure that can be used to tighten abdominal muscles, remove excess skin and fat, and tone your entire midsection. Many patients seek treatment  from board-certified Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl following pregnancy or significant weight loss for a tummy tuck. This is because the abdominal area is incredibly hard to tone following weight fluctuations.

If you have lost a significant amount of weight or are unhappy with the appearance of your body following pregnancy, you may be an ideal candidate for a tummy tuck.

Good Tummy Tuck Candidates

Good candidates for a tummy tuck should have excess skin and fat deposits that have not responded to diet and exercise. This is a body contouring procedure and not intended for significant weight loss. If you are overweight, you may need to come closer to your goal weight before undergoing this procedure.

In addition to being close to your goal weight, to be a good candidate for a tummy tuck you will need to be:
  •          A nonsmoker or willing to give up smoking
  •          In generally good health
  •          Prepared for a surgical procedure and recovery period
  •         Willing to closely follow all of Dr. Diehl’s pre and postoperative advice

The best way to determine if a tummy tuck can help you reach your goals is with a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Diehl.

If you live in or around Long Island, New York and would like to learn if you are a good candidate for tummy tuck surgery, please contact Diehl Plastic Surgery to schedule an initial consultation.

Choosing the Right Shape of Nose

Your nose is one of your most prominent facial features. When you are unhappy with your nose, you may only notice its imperfections and fail to see how it relates to the rest of your face. Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl however can see the whole picture, and will customize your rhinoplasty, or nose surgery, procedure to produce a nose that is both attractive on its own and in perfect balance with the rest of your face.

The Ideally Shaped Nose

Each face is unique, making it difficult to determine what shape nose will ideally suit yours without a one-on-one rhinoplasty consultation. It is helpful if you bring pictures of noses you find attractive to your initial consultation as this will give Dr. Diehl a better idea of what attributes you find most appealing.

However, attributes you find attractive may not be suited to your face and, since it is your nose that is being perfected, your rhinoplasty procedure will need to take into account both your desires and your natural anatomy.

Dr. Diehl has extensive experience and interest with the Rhinoplasty procedure and is proud to review his pre- and post-operative portfolio of photographs with you at your personal consultation.

Dr. Diehl will work closely with you during the planning phase of your rhinoplasty procedure to make sure you approve of his decisions.

If you live on Long Island and would like to know how rhinoplasty can enhance your appearance, please contact Dr. Gregory Diehl today to schedule your initial consultation.

Benefits of Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty, also known as a tummy tuck, is a body contouring procedure in which excess fat and skin is removed from your midsection. Board-certified Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl can also use abdominoplasty to tighten and firm stomach muscles, which is particularly helpful following pregnancy or significant weight loss.

The first and most obvious benefit of abdominoplasty is its ability to provide you with a toned, firm, and more appealing look. The abdominal area is one of the hardest to tone through exercise and diet alone, making abdominoplasty an effective way to reach your aesthetic goals.

Physical Benefits

In addition to aesthetic enhancement, abdominoplasty may offer significant physical benefits as well. Because your stomach muscles are tightened during abdominoplasty, this procedure can strengthen your core and improve balance – both of which are essential for engaging in more strenuous forms of activity. What’s more, the removal of excess and bulky skin can improve your physical performance, making both everyday tasks and more advance forms of exercise easier to accomplish.

Of course, the benefits you get from abdominoplasty will depend on the lifestyle choices you make. Dr. Diehl can discuss this with you in further detail during your initial consultation.

If you live in or around Long Island, New York and are considering abdominoplasty, please contact Diehl Plastic Surgery to schedule an initial consultation.

Exercise with Breast Implants

A common concern of Long Island women before breast augmentation is how implants will impact physical exertion. During your initial consultation with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl, it is important that you discuss your exercise and lifestyle preferences.

Dr. Diehl will take into account your physical requirements before suggesting the breast implant options that are least likely to interfere with your exercise routine.

Breast Implant Options

As a general rule, breast implants will not impact casual activities and exercise. However, certain considerations will need to be made if you participate in specific sports, particularly if you are competitive.

Dr. Diehl will need to know if you are a competitive swimmer or if you engage in sports such as tennis, baseball, or golf, which require a specific range of motion. This will allow him to tailor the type, size, and placement of your implant that will least impact your physical abilities. If you lift weights, Dr. Diehl may recommend implants placed above the muscle in your chest. If you participate in contact sports, submuscular placement may be best.

There are a number of breast implant options that allow Dr. Diehl to cater your procedure to meet your needs. Being upfront with Dr. Diehl during your breast augmentation planning phase will allow him to choose those options ideally suited to you.

If you live in or around Long Island, New York and are interested in learning more about your breast implant options, please contact Diehl Plastic Surgery to schedule an initial consultation.

Returning to Exercise after Liposuction

Following your Long Island liposuction procedure, you will need to give your body time to heal. While strenuous exercise can cause strain on your body during the first  week of recovery, activities such as walks should be resumed within one to two days following your surgery. Walking can reduce swelling, increase blood flow to speed recovery, and help you start on your way to a generally more active lifestyle.

When to Exercise

After the first week of recovery, you may be able to adopt a more aerobic type of exercise such as speed walking and by week three you may even be able to start jogging or taking exercise classes.  However, exercise should only be increased as you can tolerate it.

Long Island liposuction surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl will work closely with you during your recovery to help you better gauge when it is appropriate to add new and more strenuous forms of exercises.

To maintain your liposuction results, you will need to commit to weekly exercise. Optimal activities are different for every person. You may wish to work with a personal trainer to develop a routine that works best for you.

For more information on maintaining your Long Island liposuction results, please contact Dr. Gregory Diehl today to schedule a consultation.

What Type of Injectable Filler Should I Choose?

At our comfortable Jefferson Station office, Dr. Diehl offers minimally invasive and incredibly effective facial rejuvenation options including:

Each of these options is capable of producing specific results for varying lengths of time. The type of filler that is best suited to meet your needs will be based on what areas you are addressing and other factors unique to you.

Choosing the Best Filler

Choosing the best filler should be left in the capable hands of a board-certified plastic surgeon like Dr. Diehl. Should I get a Tummy Tuck or Liposuction?

If you are unhappy with the way excess deposits of fat are impacting your abdominal area, liposuction by itself is often an effective way to address the problem. With liposuction, Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl can target fat deposits, helping restore a toned and slim physique.

When stubborn deposits of fat are joined by loose skin, stretch marks, and separated abdominal muscles, liposuction alone will be insufficient. In these instances, you will most likely benefit more from tummy tuck surgery. With this procedure, Dr. Diehl will remove excess fat and skin, and tighten abdominal muscles to slim and strengthen your entire midsection.

What’s Right for You

Both tummy tuck surgery and liposuction are body contouring procedures, but they address different problems. During your initial consultation with Long Island tummy tuck surgeon Dr. Diehl, your entire frame will be examined to determine which option is right for you. Liposuction is a less invasive procedure, making it the better choice when it is suitable. However, if your needs exceed the capabilities of liposuction, Dr. Diehl may recommend a tummy tuck. Each situation is unique and the ideal procedure for you is best left to the determination of Dr. Diehl.

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your midsection and would like to learn whether a tummy tuck or liposuction is right for you, please contact Dr. Gregory Diehl today to schedule your initial consultation at our Jefferson Station, Long Island office.

How Safe is Liposuction?

If you live in Stony Brook, Long Island, and have been considering liposuction, but aren't sure how safe the procedure is, then you should meet with Dr. Gregory J. Diehl. During your complimentary consultation, Dr. Diehl can answer all of your questions about liposuction, explain how safe it is and how it can make a dramatic difference in your figure, especially when paired with an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck).

Liposuction is much less invasive than other cosmetic procedures. Small incisions are made in the treatment area and Dr. Diehl uses cannulas, thin hollow tubes, to suction the fat out from under your skin.

One of the risks with liposuction is contour irregularities. This will occur if the plastic surgeon uses a poor technique and over or under corrects an area. Instead of a smooth, firm region of skin, you can be left with a dimpled and lumpy section.

This is one of the many reasons you should choose a plastic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. A skilled surgeon will use liposuction to sculpt your chosen treatment area with precision, providing you with a safe and effective procedure.

If you are interested in how abdominoplasty and liposuction can change your figure, please contact Dr. Gregory J. Diehl to schedule your consultation with an experienced Stony Brook plastic surgeon.

Capsular Contracture

Capsular contracture is one of the most common complications that can arise after your breast augmentation. Luckily, capsular contracture is relatively easy to diagnose and can be resolved with a revision breast surgery in which you receive a new breast implant.

As with any implant placed in your body, when you undergo breast surgery to receive breast implants, your body forms a capsule to wall off the foreign substance. This is a perfectly natural formation and nothing to worry about.

However, in a small percentage of cases, the capsule will start to contract in on itself. With any type of breast implant, this causes a tightening around the implant that prevents your breast from hanging in a natural position.

With a physical examination, Dr. Diehl can diagnose whether you have capsular contracture around your breast implants. You will likely experience symptoms, such as hardening of the breast or discomfort from tightening of the capsule. If you notice a change in the look and feel of one or both implants, you should schedule a follow-up appointment to determine whether you have capsular contracture.

Treatment for capsular contracture usually requires removal of the implant and capsule. During a revision breast surgery, Dr. Diehl will insert a new breast implant.

If you are in the Stony Brook area and interested in having breast surgery, please contact Dr. Gregory J. Diehl to schedule your consultation today.

Am I a Candidate for Blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty, commonly called an eyelid lift, can reshape your eyelids to give you a younger, refreshed appearance. In our Port Jefferson Station facility, Dr. Gregory J. Diehl can remove excess fat and tighten the skin around your eyes so that you no longer have a drooping, sagging look.

Good candidates for blepharoplasty:

  • Are in good general health
  • Have skin sagging over their upper eyelids
  • Experience puffiness under the lower lid
  • Have excess skin or wrinkles on the lower lid
Most candidates for blepharoplasty are 35 or older, but younger patients can benefit from the procedure. If you have hereditary issues that cause drooping eyelids or bags under your eyes, blepharoplasty can be the way to brighten your look. Some older patients also choose to have a facelift to tighten the skin on their cheeks and neck so that their overall results are a completely refreshed and youthful face.

Dr. Diehl has been helping patients achieve the look they desire for over 20 years. In consultation with Dr. Diehl, you can get your many questions about blepharoplasty answered and determine if it is the right procedure to give your face that fresher, younger look you want.

If you would like to see if blepharoplasty is the right facial rejuvenation solution for you, please contact Dr. Gregory J. Diehl to schedule your consultation in Port Jefferson Station today.

How is Rhinoplasty Performed?

Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory J. Diehl can reshape your nose with rhinoplasty (nose surgery) and bring your nose into better proportion with your face. Over the years, Dr. Diehl has helped many patients address the structural and aesthetic problems with their noses through rhinoplasty.

Before your procedure, you will have an initial consultation with Dr. Diehl to discuss what your goals are for your rhinoplasty. You'll be able to see our before and after rhinoplasty gallery of other patients' successful surgeries. And Dr. Diehl will plan your customized procedure.

During the rhinoplasty, Dr. Diehl may make incisions inside your nostrils and at the creases in your nose where it joins your cheek. These incision points allow your nose to heal without noticeable scarring. Dr. Diehl will reshape the cartilage in your nose to reduce or narrow your bridge. He may also refine and elevate the tip of your nose depending on the desired results you discussed during your consultation.

The procedure only takes a couple of hours. Dr. Diehl will insert a splint at the end of surgery to help your nose retain its new shape during recovery. You should be back to regular, non-strenuous activities within a week.

If you are in Long Island and you are interested in rhinoplasty, please contact Dr. Gregory J. Diehl to schedule your consultation today.

Facelift Candidacy

A facelift can be one of the best ways to rejuvenate your look. Sagging, wrinkled skin on your face and neck can age you in the eyes of everyone you meet. At Dr. Gregory J. You can benefit from a facelift if you have any of the following:

  • Sagging skin around your face and neck
  • Fat deposits along your jaw line
  • Deep skin folds around your nose and mouth
  • Deep creases below your eyes
A facelift in our AAAASF certified facility can provide long-term results of firmer, toner skin. In consultation with Dr. Diehl, you can determine whether it is the right procedure for you. A good facelift candidate will be:

  • In good overall health
  • Close to your ideal weight
  • A non-smoker
  • Realistic about your expectations for the procedure
If you want to find out if a facelift is the right way for you to achieve the healthier, younger look you desire, please contact Dr. Gregory J. Diehl to schedule your consultation with an experienced Long Island plastic surgeon today.

How is Brow Lift Surgery Performed?

A brow lift can reduce the signs of aging in your brow and forehead area. You may choose to have a facelift and eyelid surgery at the same time as your brow lift to give your entire face a new, refreshed look. When you meet with Dr. Gregory J. Diehl at our Long Island offices, you can discuss all of your cosmetic surgery options for facial rejuvenation.

During a brow lift surgery, Dr. Diehl will make incisions just inside your hairline. He will raise your brows and forehead and secure them in a higher position to give your forehead and eye area a more open appearance. The muscles in your forehead that lead to excessive wrinkling can be partially removed or weakened. This will help to smooth your forehead's appearance and prevent drooping in your brows.

Brow surgery is ideal to smooth frown lines across your forehead and reduce the appearance of a low or heavy brow. Your results should leave you looking more alert and youthful, especially when paired with an eyelid lift surgery that can alleviate the heavy bags around your eyes.

If you live in Long Island and would like to discuss how a brow lift, eyelid surgery, or facelift can refresh your face, please contact Dr. Gregory J. Diehl to schedule your consultation today.

Am I a Candidate for BOTOX®?

If you're in the Long Island area and you're looking for a solution for the crows feet and laugh lines that have found their way onto your face, BOTOX® Cosmetic may be the answer for you. By injecting small amounts of BOTOX under your skin, Dr. Gregory J. Diehl can smooth away fine lines and wrinkles and take years off your appearance.

BOTOX is not a permanent solution. You will need to return periodically to receive additional injections, but some patients find that their muscles start to naturally relax after receiving consecutive BOTOX treatments.

BOTOX works by relaxing the tensed, wrinkle inducing muscles around your eyes and across your forehead. Your BOTOX procedure will take less than 15 minutes and you'll start to see results almost immediately.

If you are experiencing sagging around your eyes or your cheeks and neck, you may want to discuss your facelift or eyelid lift options with Dr. Diehl.

If you are ready to turn back the hands of time with a BOTOX treatment, please contact Dr. Gregory J. Diehl to schedule your consultation with an experienced Long Island plastic surgeon.

Tummy Tuck Benefits

If your midsection is impacted by sagging skin, excess deposits of fat, and loose abdominal muscles, a tummy tuck can tone, strengthen, and restore ideal aesthetics to your body.

Board-certified Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl can perform a tummy tuck alone or in combination with other body contouring procedures to help you look and feel amazing about your body. Whether or not a tummy tuck can benefit you is best determined during your initial consultation.

Aesthetic and Physical Benefits

A tummy tuck can vastly improve the contours of your body which can, in turn, improve clothing options, enhance your self-esteem, and restore self-confidence. These benefits are inherent with this procedure, but certainly not the extent of what benefits a tummy tuck can offer.

If you are prepared to transform your life for the better, tummy tuck surgery may be good starting point. This procedure can make physical activities that have been either embarrassing or difficult much more accessible. It can also help improve core strength and balance, two essential components of more advanced forms of physical exertion.

Your tummy tuck benefits depend on the effort you are willing to put into obtaining and maintaining physically peak health. Dr. Diehl will be happy to discuss this with you in more detail during your initial tummy tuck consultation.

If you live in or around Long Island, New York and would like to learn how a tummy tuck can benefit you, please contact Diehl Plastic Surgery to schedule an initial consultation.

  • Inframammary – underneath the breast in the crease where breast and chest meet
  • Transaxillary – through the armpit
With these incisions, scars can easily be hidden. However, to avoid any scarring on the breasts at all, Transaxillary (arm pit) will be your best option.  The arm pit incision lies exactly on one of the creases in you underarm and is therefore virtually invisible when it heals.

Dr. Diehl does not recommend periareolar or around the nipple incision, because this is the most visible area of the breast and the scars will definitely be visible, especially up close.  Each incision option has both benefits and drawbacks that are specific to your body. During your initial consultation, Dr. Diehl will discuss all of your options and carefully evaluate your lifestyle and clothing choices to help you determine which incision will produce the least obvious scarring.

Your Role

You can help ensure that your incisions heal their best by following all of Dr. Diehl’s pre- and post-operative advice. This will include, keeping your incisions clean, and avoiding strenuous activities during your recovery period. All of this will be discussed in full during your initial consultation.

Silicone vs. Saline Breast Implants

One of the breast implant options you will need to consider prior to your breast augmentation procedure is which type of implant is right for you. Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl will discuss all of your options in full during your initial consultation, but coming to your consultation with a general idea of the differences between silicone and saline breast implants can be helpful in making an informed decision.

Silicone Breast Implants

Silicone breast implants have a tendency to look and feel more like natural breast tissue. Silicone implants are also less likely to ripple or wrinkle compare to saline implants.

Saline Breast Implants

Saline implants do not look and feel as natural as their silicone alternatives. In addition, saline implants are more prone to aesthetic imperfections such as rippling and wrinkling, although this is less of an issue if you have your implants placed below the muscles in your chest.

There is no single option best for every patient. Dr. Diehl will listen closely to your desires, inform you of all of your options, and help you determine which breast implant type is best for you.

Benefits of Liposuction

Liposuction is a highly effective way to remove excess stubborn deposits of fat from nearly every area of your body. For many men and women, diet and exercise alone are insufficient at removing fat deposits from places such as thighs, abdomen, flanks, buttocks, back, chest, and neck. If you are within reach of your ideal weight, but need help ridding those last few areas of fatty deposits, board-certified Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl can use liposuction to help you reach your goals.

Liposuction Benefits

The modern liposuction techniques utilized by Dr. Diehl can remove excess fatty tissue and also encourage your skin to firm around your new contours. This is essential for obtaining a slim and toned physique.

In addition to aesthetic benefits, liposuction can act as a springboard for a healthier lifestyle. Once removed, fat will not come back, but to keep new fat from appearing, adopting a healthy lifestyle is essential. If you allow it, liposuction can be a motivating factor to begin a more rigorous exercise routine, improving not only the contours of your body, but your overall health as well.

If you live in or around Long Island, New York and would like to learn how liposuction can benefit you, please contact Diehl Plastic Surgery to schedule an initial consultation.

Correction of Breast Asymmetry

Upon close inspection, very few women have symmetrical breasts. However, if close inspection is not required to notice your asymmetry and you feel awkward or uncomfortable with the appearance of your chest, breast augmentation can be used to restore balance and increase your self-confidence.

If you are unhappy with the symmetry of your breasts, please call board-certified Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl at 877-476-8512 today to schedule an initial breast augmentation consultation.

Breast Augmentation for Asymmetry

To correct breast asymmetry, Dr. Diehl will need to carefully examine your anatomical features. Balance can often be achieved by using different sized breast implants or by combining augmentation with a breast lift or reduction. This will be based on your specific needs.

Every woman is beautifully unique. During your initial consultation it can best be determined what will preserve your individuality while providing optimal shape and symmetry to your chest.

Liposuction Candidates

Liposuction is the most popular body contouring procedure performed by board-certified Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl. With liposuction, Dr. Diehl can remove stubborn deposits of fat from nearly any area of your body, producing a toned and firm appearance to all treated areas.

Good Liposuction Candidates

Liposuction is not a weight loss treatment. The removal of large amounts of fat through liposuction can be dangerous and should be avoided. Therefore, you must be within reach of your goal weight to be a good candidate for liposuction.

If you are close to your ideal weight, other considerations will include:
  • Your general health
  • Your expectations
  • Your preparedness for a surgical procedure
  • Your willingness to follow Dr. Diehl’s pre- and postoperative advice

It is important to remember that once removed, fat cannot come back. This does not mean that new fat cannot accumulate. While not a requirement, the best candidates for liposuction should be willing to adopt a healthy lifestyle to ensure the longest-lasting results.

During your initial consultation with Dr. Diehl it can best be determined if liposuction can help you reach your goals.

If you live in or around Long Island, New York and would like to know if liposuction is right for you, please contact Diehl Plastic Surgery to schedule an initial consultation.

BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler is specially designed to integrate into your skin and mold to your distinct facial contours. By adapting to the individuality of your skin, it softens lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth for smooth and natural results.

BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler has unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction. The versatility of the product makes it strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth), yet soft enough to treat more delicate areas such as vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above the lip line).

BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler is made of a material called hyaluronic acid or HA. HA naturally exists as a component of your skin. By binding to water, it fills in wrinkles and folds, allowing immediate and smooth correction.

I have been using Belotero for the past few months and getting great results particularly for smoothing out fines lines around the eyes.  I find that this is a good addition to other facial fillers such as Juvederm, Radiesse and Restylane.
