Nose Surgery/Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty or Nose Job, as it is commonly referred, is a cosmetic procedure to reshape the nose to meet the patients' needs.  Usually the bridge is reduced and narrowed, and often that is all that is needed.  The lower portion of the nose, the tip area, can also be tightened if it is too round, shortened or lengthened if needed.  It is often elevated or rotated up a little (more often for women than men).  Rhinoplasty or Nose Job can reshape and improve appearance of the nose but it can also be used to alleviate breathing problems.
Rhinoplasty surgery is the area of plastic surgery that is most technique-dependent. That is to say, the surgical plan and execution varies more from surgeon to surgeon than in any other procedure.  The patient needs to be thorough in their search for the right surgeon for their nose surgery.  At your complimentary consultation, Dr. Gregory Diehl will discuss all aspects of the Rhinoplasty Surgery with you and will also determine whether you are a good candidate for the Rhinoplasty Surgery.   Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon inPort Jefferson Station, Suffolk County, New York, has extensive experience in Rhinoplasty/Nasal Surgery and has been fulfilling many patients' desire to have the shape of nose that they want.

What does a Rhinoplasty/ Nose Surgery procedure involve?

Rhinoplasty procedure generally involves removing the bump and narrowing the bridge of the nose.  The tip of the nose can be reshaped by sculpting the cartilage. A splint is then applied to the bridge of the nose to help maintain its shape.

What is the Recovery like after Rhinoplasty/ Nose Surgery?

Recovery from Nose Surgery is rather mild.  A splint is usually worn over the nose for comfort and protection for a week.  Pain is quite minimal and is well handed with pain medications and cool compresses.  There is some swelling and bruising around the eyes which clears up in 7-10 days.  The new shape is immediately noticeable, but complete healing after Rhinoplasty is gradual with swelling decreasing over 1-2 months.  Patients can expect to return to work or school within a week and strenuous activity within two to three weeks.

How do I choose the right surgeon for Rhinoplasty/ Nose Job?

It is important to choose a surgeon who is experienced in Rhinoplasty/Nose Job Surgery and has been Board Certified in Plastic Surgery.  You should view his before and after pictures as well.  Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County, New York, has been performing Rhinoplasty surgeries on Long Island for over 18 years, fulfilling many patients' desires to look and feel more confident!

If you wish to learn more about Rhinoplasty/ Nose Surgery, call for a complimentary cosmetic consultation with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Gregory Diehl at 631-476-7300.

Botox

Small injections of BOTOX® around the eyes make the tiny wrinkles disappear, especially when squinting or laughing (thus, "laugh lines").  It is just as useful for the "frown lines" and forehead creases.  BOTOX® is injecting small doses of muscle relaxing medication to different areas of the face to temporarily prevent the function of overactive wrinkle-forming muscle tissues. This is possible by protein in BOTOX® which blocks the transmission of nerve impulses allowing the overactive muscles to relax.  The procedure takes only approximately 10 minutes.  Pain and discomfort are minimal.
At your complimentary consultation Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, New York,  will discuss all aspects of BOTOX® with you.  Dr. Diehl will also determine whether you are a good candidate for BOTOX®.  Dr. Diehl has a very gentle touch when it comes to BOTOX®.  His patients report that they "hardly felt anything at all!"  You will look even better without those "crinkles"!

How long do the results of BOTOX® last?

BOTOX® injections last about three months, sometimes as much as five.  After prolonged use ofBOTOX® the tiny muscles should relax even more, and you might not need as much or as frequently.

Is there a recovery time for BOTOX®?

BOTOX® is fast and effective. There is no recovery time and patients can resume normal activities immediately after the procedure.  Results begin to appear several days after the injections.

Who should perform MY BOTOX® injections?

To reduce the risk of adverse side effects, it is important that your BOTOX® injections are administered by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has extensive experience in BOTOX® injections.  Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County, New Yorkhas treated many patients with BOTOX® and has given them a good reason to SMILE!

If you wish to learn more about BOTOX® injections, call for a complimentary cosmetic consultation with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Gregory Diehl located in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island at 631-476-7300.

Male Breast Reduction or Gynecomastia Surgery

Male Breast Reduction/Gynecomastia Surgery is to make normal of enlarged male breasts.  It’s quite natural and rather common for male adolescents to temporarily develop enlarged breasts, also known asGynecomastia.  It is a problem for many young men as they have to get through gym class somehow, and enjoy their summers like everybody else.  It can be a big emotional burden.  But then what happens if it doesn’t go away?  What if it gets worse instead of better?  Many men carry this problem into adulthood.  It can be very difficult to conceal, and interferes with so many social activities that we all take for granted.  Summertime is the worst, when clothing gets thinner and bathing suits are the norm.
The good news is that Gynecomastia is readily treatable. Removing the excess breast tissue is the fourth most common plastic surgical procedure among men. 18,000 such cases are performed annually in the U.S.  At your complimentary consultation Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, New York,  will discuss all aspects of the Male Breast Reduction Surgery with you.  Dr. Diehl will also determine whether you are a good candidate for the Male Breast Reduction Surgery.

The causes of Male Breast Enlargement/Gynecomastia:

Gynecomastia, is not the same as the excess breast size seen in overweight men, known as Pseudogynecomastia.  In the case of Gynecomastia, the excess growth is limited to only the areola, often referred to as a “puffy nipple”.  More often the surrounding area is enlarged as well, as fairly obvious breast development.  The glandular tissue can be painful also.   Both male and female breast tissue responds to the circulating levels of estrogen and testosterone.  Both high estrogen and low testosterone can cause the breasts to enlarge.  The balance of these hormones is disturbed during puberty, which explains adolescent Gynecomastia. Most cases that persist into adulthood, however, have normal hormone levels, and the fault seems to lie in the inability of the breast tissue to spontaneously regress.
Gynecomastia, in most cases, are benign and do not indicate any underlying serious problem. However, all of these other factors must first be addressed, and problem diagnoses ruled out, during the process of evaluation.  Usually a good medical history, and a physical examination is adequate, and blood lab-testing is not indicated.  If there is rapid or asymmetric growth, or the growth is particularly large, then a panel of lab work is ordered.

The treatment of Male Breast Enlargement/Gynecomastia:

While the cause of Gynecomastia may be somewhat mysterious, the treatment is not.  Liposuctionis quite effective in the treatment of Gynecomastia or Male Breast Enlargement.  The breast tissue can be removed with an excellent smooth contour, and the patient can be free to remove his shirt again without concern.

The Recovery from Male Breast Reduction/Gynecomastia Surgery:

There is no significant discomfort after Liposuction.  Dr. Diehl's patients wear a compression vest for a few weeks to keep the area flat against the chest.  Office-type work can be resumed the next day, while more active jobs may need some extra time off, perhaps 3-5 days.   The result from Liposuction is immediate.  Before Liposuction Surgery patients with Gynecomastia often have a forward, hunched posture to de-accentuate their chest but after surgery, they tend to stand more proudly and erect.  Furthermore, patients’ attitudes change towards exercise and by becoming more interested in their physiques and hitting the gym more often.

How do I choose the right surgeon?

It is important to choose a surgeon who is experienced in Gynecomastia/Male Breast Reduction surgery and has been Board Certified in Plastic Surgery.  You should view his before and after pictures as well.  Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic surgeon, in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County, New York, has been performing Male Breast Reduction/Gynecomastia surgeries on Long Island for over 18 years, fulfilling many men's goals of being more self confident!

If you wish to learn more about Male Breast Reduction/Gynecomastia surgery, call for a complimentary cosmetic consultation with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Gregory Diehl located in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island at 631-476-7300.

Male Liposuction Surgery

Simply put Liposuction is taking out the unwanted fat in certain areas of the body.  The process is rather simple but the result is quite satisfying.  Most body areas can be treated with Liposuction, though the most common areas in women are the abdomen, hips, and thighs.  Men are often treated for Liposuction in the chest, hips and abdomen and, of course, the "Love- Handles".   Liposuction is not limited to these areas; other places may include the upper arms, under the chin and the buttock.
There is one basic technique used in all patients undergoing liposuction surgery. This technique involves the insertion of a hollow tube, or cannula, through a tiny incision into the layers of fat that lie deep beneath the skin. The cannula is connected to a suction device that literally vacuums the fat out as the surgeon breaks up the cells with a push/pull motion.
Liposuction is not a substitute for a healthy diet and exercise, but the procedure can eliminate areas of fat that are unresponsive to typical weight-loss methods, and improve body contour.  The best candidates for liposuction are normal-weight people who have isolated pockets of fat that do not respond well to diet or exercise. Liposuction can be done at any age, but those with firm, elastic skin achieve the best results since elasticity lends itself to smoother contouring after the fat removal.
Liposuction is among most frequently performed surgeries by Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County, New York.  At your complimentary consultation Dr. Diehl will discuss all aspects of the Liposuction Surgery with you.  Dr. Diehl will also determine whether you are a good candidate for the Liposuction Surgery.

Do the results of Liposuction last?

Liposuction results are permanent, as long as the patient maintains a healthy life-style, including exercise and a sensible diet.  Once the fat cells have been removed from an area there is no longer a preferential fat storage area, and any fat gain will be distributed more evenly over the rest of the body.

Does Liposuction leave scars?

Liposuction Incisions are made generally very small and put in areas that are more inconspicuous. Most cases of liposuction will heal well and it will be difficult to see where they were originally made.

What kind of recovery can I expect?

Recovery from Liposuction surgery is rather brief.  A few days of soreness and some bruising and swelling can be expected for about a week.   Usually patients can return to work in a couple of days and resume strenuous physical activity after one to two weeks.

How do I choose the right surgeon?

It is very important to choose a surgeon who is experienced in Liposuction Surgery and has been Board Certified in Plastic Surgery.  You should view his before and after photos as well.  Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic surgeon, in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County, has been performing Liposuction on long island for over 19 years, fulfilling many patients' desires to have slimmer bodies.

Facial Fillers - Restylane® Radiesse® Juvederm®

Facial Fillers are also referred to as "Non-Surgical" Face Lift.  Most of these Facial Fillers last up to a year, and are ideal for people who are not yet ready for a Face Lift Surgery.  And the result is immediate, making it quite convenient.  Facial Fillers, such as JUVÉDERM® XC, Radiesse®, Restylane®, are products that are designed to fill certain areas on the face to smooth out folds and creases.  Some Facial Fillers are designed to be injected in the thinning lips which would give the "Youthful" looking appearance.  Facial Fillers by Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, can make you look younger by smoothing out the lines around the mouth and around nose, and as well as plumping up the thinning lips that also indicate an aging face.
At your complimentary consultation Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, New York, will discuss all aspects of Facial Fillers with you.  Dr. Diehl will also determine whether you are a good candidate for the Facial Filler Treatment.
JUVÉDERM® XC is the smooth gel filler that Dr. Gregory Diehl uses to instantly smooth away wrinkles around your mouth and nose.  With just one treatment, you’ll get smooth and natural-looking results that last up to a year.  JUVÉDERM® XC is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment.  With JUVÉDERM® XC you get the smooth results.  Everyone’s skin ages differently and JUVÉDERM® XC may be used to rejuvenate multiple problem areas. From smile lines to vertical lip lines, you can smooth away unwanted wrinkles and restore natural contours.

Radiesse® is a dermal filler that is setting a new standard for the correction of facial lines and wrinkles such as nasolabial folds.  Made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel, Radiesse® is injected into the skin through a simple and minimally invasive procedure giving you immediate, visible improvement of folds and wrinkles, and providing long-lasting and beautiful results.  In many patients, the effects of Radiesse® may last a year or more. Radiesse® is a convenient treatment that stimulates the body to produce new collagen — often with just one or two office visits.

Restylane® is one of popular soft tissue filler today.  Both Radiesse® and Restylane® work well for lip augmentation, and to smooth out small wrinkles around the mouth and lips.  Skin is made up of a combination of collagen proteins, elastic fibers, and a substrate called hyaluronic acid. These unfortunately decline as we age, and the skin loses its fullness.  The injectable fillers such as Restylane® are designed to replace the components that we lose as we age.

Who should perform MY Juvederm®, Radiesse®, Restylane® Facial Filler Injections?

To reduce the risk of adverse side effects, it is important that your Juvederm®, Radiesse® and Restylane® Facial Filler Injections are administered by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has extensive experience.  Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County, New York, has treated many patients with Juvederm®, Radiesse® and Restylane® Facial Filler Injections and has given them a good reason to SMILE!

Breast Lift

Breast Lift Surgery is also known as a “Lollipop” Lift.  After having babies or having lost a lot of weight or  just simply from aging, the breast loses it volume and they droop.  The Breast Lift surgery rejuvenates the breasts by making them fuller and repositioning them higher where they once were.  Dr. Gregory Diehl also performs Breast Augmentations with Breast Lifts on women to have once again their fuller, firmer and youthful looking breasts.
At your complimentary consultation Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, New York, will discuss all aspects of Breast Lift surgery with you. Dr. Diehl will also determine whether you are a good candidate for the Breast Lift surgery.
Also known as Mastopexy, Breast Lift raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. Sometimes the areola becomes enlarged over time, and a Breast Lift will reduce this as well.

Breast Lift or Breast Enlargement is a very popular procedure for women, and is among the most commonly performed breast enhancement cosmetic surgery procedures by Dr. Gregory Diehl. Breast Lift/Breast Augmentation can increase fullness and projection of your breasts and improve the balance of your figure, which will enhance your self-image and self confidence, especially here on Long Island where beach activities are quite popular.  Breast size and shape are important to many women.  If you are unhappy with your breast size or shape, you might consider Breast Augmentation and Breast Lift Surgery.

Can my breasts be fuller and "up" where they used to be from just a breast augmentation?

Unfortunately no, however with both Breast Lift and Breast Augmentation your breasts can be fuller and lifted up and as a result, they will look more youthful.

Why is it called a “Lollipop” Lift?

The term “Lollipop” is derived from the shape of incisions made in order to lift breasts up.  Incisions are made around the areola and also vertically from the bottom of the areola to the bottom of the breast giving the appearance of a lollipop.  These incisions are necessary to bring the breasts up to their ideal location.

How is Breast Lift Surgery performed?

Breast Lift Surgery raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour.  Dr. Diehl will surgically raise the nipple and tighten the breast tissue.

Do I need Breast Implants as well?

Generally yes; if there is enough breast tissue then Breast Lift alone might suffice.  However, in most cases breast implants are needed to create fuller and youthful looking breasts, especially if a cleavage is desired.

Will the scars fade?

In most instances fair-skinned patients fair much better as far as scars are concerned, while darker-skinned patients may form keloids or dark-colored scars.  Usually patients already are aware as to how they heal by their previous injuries or scratches.

What is the recovery like from Breast Lift surgery?

The recovery from Breast Lift Surgery is very much like from Breast Augmentation.  The pain is usually moderate, and with prescription pain medications patients do tolerate it very well.  Most patients can go back to their routine in less than a week and are back to work in about a week.  Mild exercise can resume in 10 days.  Swelling should subside in a couple of weeks, and Incision lines will continue to flatten and fade for up to 1 year.

How do I choose the right surgeon?

It is very important to choose a surgeon who is experienced in Breast Lift surgery and has been Board Certified in Plastic Surgery.  You should view his before and after photos as well.  Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic surgeon, in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County, has been performing Breast Lift/”Lollipop” Lift and Breast Augmentation on long island for over 18 years, fulfilling many women's desires for fuller, firmer and younger looking breasts.

If you wish to learn more about Breast Lift/”Lollipop” Lift or Breast Augmentation Surgery, call to make a complimentary cosmetic consultation with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Gregory Diehl in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island at 631-476-7300.

Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, located in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County, Long Island, can help your skin looking more youthful and radiant.

Ask us about our Therapon® products for your skin needs:

Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Fine lines and wrinkles are caused by the normal aging process, smoking, sun exposure and a number of other catalysts. As we age, skin loses elasticity and collagen thins, resulting in wrinkles and loose skin. New collagen production and antioxidant protection are essential in reducing skin wrinkling, as is protection from UVA/UVB exposure.

Skin care with healing properties and antioxidants should be incorporated into a daily regimen. Products with active growth peptides and micronutrients should be regularly applied to restore skin elasticity and stimulate collagen production. Additionally, you should always rely upon an effective sunscreen.

Acne Breakouts
Breakouts occur when oil deep within small hair follicles or pores becomes waxy and clogs pores. To manage acne, first ensure your skin is clean and well-exfoliated. Second, eliminate bacteria which may inflame and infect pores. Products that effectively eradicate bacteria and exfoliate dead skin cells should be used. Benzoyl Peroxide, a popular ingredient in acne products, is only mildly effective at eradicating bacteria and is irritating in higher concentrations. Topical antibiotics lead to resistant strains of bacteria. Thus, antimicrobial cleansers that kill on contact are a preferred option.

Hyperpigmentation (Brown Spots)
Hyperpigmentation, commonly experienced as brown spots, is caused by UV light exposure which stimulates the melanin pigment production and forms brown spots. While there is no known cause, heredity appears to play a significant role. Other triggers include sun exposure, skin irritation, pregnancy, and certain medications, including birth control pills and hormone therapy. Once brown spots have appeared, avoiding triggers such as sun exposure and treating the skin with skin lighteners combined with accelerated exfoliation is effective.

Rosacea
Rosacea (Acne Rosacea) is a condition characterized by red flushing, inflammation, small pimple breakouts, and in more severe cases a bulbous nose with thickened, oily skin. All cases are associated with early and persistent flushing in the face. Avoidance of triggers such as caffeine, sun exposure, alcohol and hot/spicy foods minimizes flushing and breakouts. Additionally, products with soothing properties will help to soothe irritated skin.

Dark Under-Eye Circles
The skin under the eye is delicate with few oil glands. It is thin and somewhat translucent, revealing capillaries beneath the surface which generate the appearance of dark circles. Factors such as heredity, illness, allergies, fatigue and aging contribute to their severity. As we age, dark circles become more apparent as collagen in the skin breaks down, resulting in thinner skin. While there is no nonsurgical, permanent solution, the appearance of dark circles can be managed by getting plenty of sleep, avoiding cigarettes, reducing alcohol and caffeine consumption, and taking special care of under-eye skin. Light, non-oily moisturizers that contain growth peptides (soluble keratin peptides) will effectively stimulate collagen production to restore skin thickness and elasticity.

Puffy Eyes
Puffy, swollen eyes may be triggered by a number of factors. Fluid retention, lack of sleep, allergies, sleeping flat on your back (without pillow elevation), and even heredity affect the degree of puffiness throughout life. As we age, eyes tend to appear puffier as skin around the eye begins to sag due to skin laxity and weakening tissue. Reducing salt intake, getting plenty of rest, drinking water and avoiding allergens can help manage puffiness. To care for the skin under the eye, use a moisturizing crème that will hydrate without clogging pores and will stimulate collagen production with growth peptides (soluble keratin peptides) to strengthen skin tissue.

Tummy Tuck/Abdominoplasty

A Tummy Tuck or an Abdominoplasty is a procedure that transforms a stretched out and bulging tummy to a firm and flat one.  Pregnancy causes the stomach to stretch from the inside, pushing out on the skin and muscle wall.  Significant weight gain and loss from pregnancies can result in loose and stretched skin that is not possible to reverse with diet and exercise.  Patients who had gastric bypass and banding surgeries also experience the same.  In both instances, even after much diet and exercise, patients are unable to have a firm and flat stomach.
Tummy tuck is a procedure frequently performed by Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County, New York, that is extremely gratifying where it not only restores the patient's body but also his/her self- confidence.  At your complimentary consultation Dr. Diehl will discuss all aspects of Tummy Tuck Surgery with you.  Dr. Diehl will also determine whether you are a good candidate for the Tummy Tuck Surgery.

How is a Tummy tuck performed?

The first step is to decide whether a Mini-Tummy Tuck or a Full Tummy Tuck is indicated.  This depends how loose the skin is, and how much to remove.  Dr. Diehl will discuss the options with you during your consultation.
A Mini-Tummy Tuck is performed when only the lower half of your abdomen is loose, and the belly button area looks youthful.  The Mini-Tummy Tuck is done by placing the incision very low, so that the scar is always under your panties or bathing suit, much like a cesarean scar.  The muscle is tightened from the belly button down to the pubis.  The incision is shorter than a full Tummy Tuck, the upper abdomen is left alone, and the belly button is not changed.  From the belly button down your tummy will be flat and the loose skin will be removed.
A Full Tummy Tuck is performed when both the upper and lower abdomen have been stretched, including the belly button.  More skin tightening is planned, and the abdominal wall is tightened from the very top of the abdomen down, past the belly button, down to the pubis.  Full-length tightening of the abdominal muscles from a Full Tummy Tuck results in the firm and flat tummy that is desired.  The skin is made maximally tight, giving you a flat stomach, and the belly button is reshaped to a youthful almond shape.  Most of the stretch marks will be removed as well.

What is the recovery for Tummy Tucks?

Mini-Tummy Tuck recovery is shorter and simpler than with a Full Tummy Tuck.  With Mini-Tummy Tuck, you will need about 10 days before returning to your normal routine.
Full Tummy Tuck recovery is a bit longer.  The initial discomfort is handled with a “pain pump”, which is a continuous drip of anesthetic through a tiny tube.  Dr. Diehl will see you the day after your surgery to remove this, and to change your bandages for you.  A home-visiting nurse service is available should you choose; for the first few days the nurse will check on you and help with bandages and such.  The first 3 days feel like a cesarean section operation, and are handled with pain medications, such as Vicodin.  There are small drains which remain for about a week.   At about a week to 10 days you will feel well and want to start getting back to your usual routine.  However, a Full Tummy Tuck needs to heal a little while longer, and Dr. Diehl encourages his patients to take it easy for an additional week.
Tummy Tuck patients, whether mini or full, are advised not to rush back to work; this is your time, that you deserve, and you should plan a leisurely recovery.  In summary, a tummy tuck patient needs two weeks off work, sometimes three, depending on the type of work.  Gym and sports activities may be resumed at about 4 weeks.

How do I choose the right surgeon for MY Tummy Tuck?

It is very important to choose a surgeon who is experienced in Tummy Tuck Surgery and has been Board Certified in Plastic Surgery.  You should view his before and after photos as well.  Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County, has been performing Tummy Tucks on long island for over 18 years, fulfilling many patients' desires to have flatter tummies!

Breast Augmentation

Breast Augmentation or Breast Enlargement is a very popular procedure for women, and is among the most commonly performed breast enhancement cosmetic surgery procedures by Dr. Gregory Diehl. Breast Augmentation can increase fullness and projection of your breasts and improve the balance of your figure, which will enhance your self-image and self confidence, especially here on Long Island where beach activities are quite popular. Breast size is very important to many women. If you are unhappy with your breast size, you might consider Breast Augmentation / Breast Enlargement surgery. Breast Augmentation is a very safe procedure with a fairly simple recovery. You should choose a surgeon who is experienced and has been Board Certified in Plastic Surgery.
At your complimentary consultation Dr. Gregory Diehl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, New York, will discuss all aspects of Breast Augmentation surgery with you. Dr. Diehl will also determine whether you are a good candidate for the Breast Augmentation surgery. Once the surgery has been planned Dr. Diehl will decide, together with you, the right size implants, type of implants, and the choice of incision site.

You may be a good candidate for Breast Augmentation/Enlargement surgery if:

* You feel that your breast size is too small or disproportionate to your body
* You have uneven breasts and would like to achieve symmetry
* You have lost a large amount of weight and your breasts have shrunken
* Your breast size and shape changed after pregnancy

What is a "Scarless" Breast Augmentation?

Dr. Gregory Diehl performs "Scarless" Breast Augmentation, where there is no scar on the breasts, by using an endoscope through your underarm. This technique is quite desirable as there is no visible sign of a breast augmentation surgery on the patient.

Can my breasts be fuller and "up" where they used to be from just a breast augmentation?

Unfortunately no, however a Breast Augmentation with a Breast Lift your breasts can be fuller and lifted up and as a result, they will look more youthful.

What types of breast implants are available and where are they placed?

There are two options when choosing a breast implant: saline or silicone. They both have differences in properties, and patients can choose the one that is suitable for them. Dr. Diehl places breast implants under the muscles instead of just under the skin, as this results in most ideal shape and natural looking breasts.

What kind of recovery can I expect after a Breast Augmentation?

Dr. Diehl's patients experience mild to moderate discomfort after breast augmentation surgery, and with prescription pain medication, they do tolerate the discomfort very well. Breast Augmentation is a safe procedure with a fairly simple recovery. Dr. Diehl's patients go home in approximately 1 hour after their surgery. His patients can go back to their routine in less than a week. Mild exercise can resume in 10 days. Most patients are back to work in about a week.
